Aromatic Skin Cleansing

Posted by Danielle Sade on

The scent of spring in the air makes us aware of new life and new beginnings. Take a few minutes to look at your skin!

Even though you can’t see anything happening, your skin is working very hard.  Underneath the first layer of your skin, new skin cells are regenerating.  When new cells mature, they start moving toward the top layer of the skin and newer cells continue to move towards the surface of the skin.  Our skin sheds about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells a day.   As we wash our body it cleans the most of the cells away, however still can leave the body feeling dry and scales.

Cleansing diets, steams exfoliating and massage allow the skin to breathe properly, help eliminate toxic waste via perspiration, creating a vibrant, rejuvenated healthy looking skin.

Steps to start!

  • Change diet; Eat mineral rich foods such as leafy greens, peppers, broccoli and sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, fish and kelp. These foods include a variety of minerals such as silica, calcium sulfur that benefit skin nutrition.
  • Adequate amounts of plant based proteins such as lentils, beans and legumes.
  • Increase fiber such as vegetables, oats, bran, fruits, flax seeds chia seeds, whole grain rice to keep to activate a regular digestive system.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day with fresh squeezed lemon.  Water keeps you flushed so waste and toxins won’t be excreted through the skin.  And prevents dehydrated skin.
